CTS researchers have vast experience and skills in the following areas:

  • statistical analysis of crash data and crash modeling,
  • survey and focus group research,
  • man-machine interactions (human factors),
  • roadway safety, and
  • policy and program evaluation.

Center researchers investigate issues related to driver distraction, young driver initiatives, occupant restraint use, alcohol and crashes, motorcycle safety, roadway design, and pedestrian safety.
